About Me
I’m a biomedical engineering student driven by a desire to improve patient care — not just in theory, but in practice. I’ve worked on medical devices and contributed to design projects, yet for a long time, I hadn’t interacted with the patients those devices were built for. That gap pulled me toward emergency medical services, where I’ve been gaining hands-on experience as an EMT.
What started as a way to reconnect with the human side of healthcare has turned into a deeper interest in the world of prehospital medicine. I’ve found myself curious about specialties like critical care transport, tactical EMS, and wilderness response — all fields that challenge how we think about care outside the traditional clinical environment.
I’ve learned that empathy is at the center of it all. It’s the throughline between engineering and medicine, design and response. Whether I’m in a lab, on a call, or collaborating with peers, I carry that mindset forward: listen first, act with intention, and stay curious.
Long-term, I don’t see myself in full-time EMS, but I do see value in staying involved. I want to bring the insight I’ve gained from the field into my engineering work — designing with more context, with the patient and provider experience in mind. I believe that the future of medical innovation lies in understanding real-world needs and building for them.
I’m someone who learns best by doing. I gravitate toward environments that challenge me — ones that require adaptability, humility, and teamwork. Whether it’s a new clinical setting, a complex design problem, or a team project under pressure, I try to approach it all with a calm head, a sense of humor, and the belief that even small contributions can make a big difference.
Embracing experiential Learning at UC
My educational turning point revolves around my extensive involvement in the Joyce B. Ebner Volunteer Tutoring Program at Medina High School. Since my freshman year, I dedicated myself to this initiative, spending lunch breaks and study halls assisting fellow students. This commitment not only led to a premier role in creating a positive learning environment but also resulted in a scholarship — a testament to my dedication and hard work.
The Tutoring Program's positive and supportive culture resonated deeply with me, aligning with my passion for making a positive impact in the community. Beyond addressing academic challenges, it focused on fixing lazy work habits and aiding struggling students with learning disabilities.
The Tutoring Program not only motivated me to be a better person and a role model for my peers but also fueled my desire to set a precedent for underclassmen. My goal was to inspire students to develop good work habits, find joy in learning, and provide the support system everyone should have.
Entering the University of Cincinnati, I embraced the ethos of experiential learning. Over my short years at the college level, I've realized that true learning comes from doing. Taking that leap, even if failure is likely, has been my pathway to growth. Learning from failures, understanding what not to do, and translating those lessons into informed actions have become my guiding principles.
Here at UC, I've been given the opportunity to learn by doing, whether at the 1819 Innovation Hub or by joining organizations with big goals and passionate people or out on co-op. Despite the challenges and distractions that college can bring, UC has turned these experiences into purposeful, desirable, and enjoyable avenues for learning. The skills and mindset cultivated during experience in the Tutoring Program have seamlessly translated into my approach to experiential learning at UC, where I continue to embrace challenges as opportunities for growth and meaningful exploration.

Administered concurrent engineering in the design and development plan, implemented risk management, problem solved pain points with Lean Six Sigma and 5s, root caused OOS parts, and reviewed EFTs for the surgical robot. Performed high detail projects as a full-time employee that directly impacted the deadlines of the Quality, Supply Chain, and R&D departments. Inspection of metrology methods to ensure compliance with national and international standards crucial for production of a medical device.
Member of the Gen>NEXT cohort (over 100+ interns) as a future leader of BMW to cultivate new ideas and value to the business. Steered the production of non-series vehicles (prototype vehicles) from assembly-on to vehicle validation and software/hardware implementation at the end-user level. Produced business cases to automate and innovate processes, and designed and implemented an app and RPA robots saving the company approximately $50,000 yearly.
